Three teams keep unbeaten slate in Ticgahon Football Tournament

-
Three teams remain undefeated after two rounds of the Ticgahon Football Tournament in Lapu-Lapu City organized by FC Inter Cebu.

The small fields with five-meter wide goals proved to be a shooting gallery for the players and most of the games finish with high scores, said Manfred Schuwerk, team manager of FC Inter Cebu.

Leading the field are the Mandaue Gunners, CSCST-Sci Tec, and Tabo Hill Saints with six points apiece for scoring two victories each.

The Mandaue Gunners however have the advantage in terms of goal difference (goals for less goals against) with a plus 24 mark. CSCST is at second with a plus 20 goal difference and Tabor Hill is at third with plus 11.

Four other teams remain scoreless, but host Ticgahon Shooters is at fourth with a minus 1 goal difference. Rounding up the last three spots are Imperats united with minus 5, Abuno FC with minus 10, and Pajac Goalgetters with minus 38.

The Mandaue Gunners scored a 7-3 victory last weekend over Imperats while while CSCST scored a whopping 19-1 triumph over Pajac. Tabor Hill, for its part coasted to a 13-3 win over Abuno.

Games this Sunday will start at 9 am with the Abuno FC facing Mandaue Gunners. This will be followed by the game between Ticgahon and Imperats at 10:45 am.

The lone game in the afternoon schedule starting at 3 o'clock features Tabor Hill against Pajac. - NLQ
