Chan, a second year high school from Maria Montessori Children House, successfully defended his title in the form (sayaw) event under the boys 10-14 heavyweight division.
Chan bested a bunch of equally-strong foreign competitors with his unique exhibition skills.
Chan earlier bagged the country's first gold through the single stick sparring competition where he hit his opponent in all parts of the body using unique combination of left and right hand and techniques he learned in Aikido in which he is a black-belter.
Chan attributed his sensational wins to his hard training and determination to bring honor and pride to the country.
Aside from his alma mater, Chan also dedicated his resounding triumph to GMA-7, which bankrolled his US trip, WEKAF president emeritus and Grandmaster Atty. Dionisio Cañete and his trainer Percival Pableo, a two-time world arnis champion.
