Getaruelas, Delposo rule 3rd CMTR

Leiszl Lumindas-Getaruelas succeeded in defending her crown even as unheralded Eugene Delposo of University of Southern Philippines-Foundation (USPF) won the men's title in the 3rd Cebu Mountain Trail Run the other day in Kalunasan.

Getaruelas managed to hang on and claimed back-to-back victories with a time of 39 minutes and one second.

Joery Ann Lee trailed in 40:37 while Merlita Arias settled third in 42:12.

In the men's division, Delposo surprised the tough field after zooming on top with a time of 32:41 clocking to win the title.

Delposo never gave way to teammate Adonis Singson, who settled for second in 33:15.

Miljune Luterte of UC was third in 34 minutes while defending champion Mendel Lopez dropped to fourth place in 34:46.
