Nine gold medals for Cebuano swimmers in Laguna

The lean but mean TCC squad sealed its quest in the swimming event for Persons With Disabilities with a total of total of nine gold and four silver medals at the Trace Aquaticv Center in Los Baños, Laguna.
In the 50-meter freestyle, the orthopedically-handicapped Arnold Balais, Noel Gonzales and the 6-foot blind swimmer, Hilario Romano all won a gold each.
Playing coach, Rolando Alvarez, on the other hand, settled with another silver in the freestyle after suffering shoulder injury.
Gonzalez and Romano ended with three gold medals.
The multi-titled paralympian Balais settled for a silver in the butterfly event, ending his bid with two gold and a silver.
