Elimination round topnotcher Rama-Bullo squad of former Cebu vice governor Enric Rama and Dr. Stephen Bullo shoots for a final berth today in Guadalupe Athletic Association (GAA) 7th Founder's Cup basketball tournament at the Guadalupe Sports Complex.
Rama-Bullo, which topped the elimination phase with a 4-1 win-loss record, is the heavy favorite when it goes up against G&S International at 4 pm.
Egpyt Sportswear, on the other hand, also hopes to make it to the championship round, but it may not come easy as it tackles Aqua Serv, which lived up to its giant-killing ways by booting out strong title contender and Group B topseed Cebu Movers System of playing coach Dr. Boy Te.
The winners in today's semifinal matches will meet in the sudden-death finals next Sunday, while the losers will battle for third place.
Rama-Bullo will rely on Guadalupe barangay councilor David Suzara, Boy Mitante and Danny de la Peña. The three helped them oust Fontana Drinking Water in record fashion, 63-39, holding off the latter to the lowest output in GAA's seven-year history.
For G&S International, it qill squeeze the most from the likes of Joey Tablada, Eric Echavez and William Jabines.
On the other hand, Egpyt pins its hopes on policeman Jeffrey Diola, Modex Modequillo and GAA officer Serg Cortes.
Aqua Serv will counter them with the vaunted triumvirate of GAA vice president and former USJ-R Jaguars point guard Allan Ricaña, Serg Bacatan and Armstrong Fernandez.
Defense will also be a plus factor for Aqua Serv and of course, better ball distribution coming from Ricaña, a well-calculating hardcourt general.
