CDU's Tuason is 2006 CESAFI president; Tiukinhoy back as basketball commissioner

Cebu Doctors' University (CDU) Vice President for Administration Engr. Oscar Tuason has been elected as president of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI), even as Felix O. Tiukinhoy Jr. returned as commissioner in the premiere basketball event.

Tuason will fill in the post vacated by University of the Visayas Executive Vice President Jose "Dodong" R. Gullas, who shortened his term to one year for unknown reasons.

This is the second time Tuason will take the reins of CESAFI, the first was during the school year 2003-2004.

Tiukinhoy also served as commissioner during Tuason's time.

Also elected as 2006 CESAFI officers are Cebu Institute of Technology's Gregorio Escario as vice president, Velez College's Atty.Teodoro Diez as secretary, University of San Carlos president Fr. Roderick Salazar, SVD (treasurer), Don Bosco College's Bro. Mari Aberasturri and University of Southern Philippines-Foundation's Dr.Alicia Cabatingan (auditor), and Southwestern University's Lassie Holopainen(PRO).

The CESAFI Board Members include University of Cebu's Atty. Agusto Go, UV's Jose Gullas, Cebu Eastern College's Kho Siok We and University of San Jose Recoletos' Fr. Constantino Real, OAR.

The 6th CESAFI season is tentatively scheduled to open either on July 15 or 22 at the Cebu Coliseum.
