Alberto scored 38 points and got a big lift from Abad, who shot 42. Two points back is the team of Henry Chu (46) and Edu Larrazabal (32) with 78.
The tandem of tournament chairman Poch Lamug (38) and Leonardo Teng (39) are tied for third with Petron's Nolan Rada (35) and Johnny Young (42) with 77 points apiece.
The duo of Alex Garcia (40) and jungolf standout Big Jan Ybañez (36) is a point further back with 76 points.
The scoring format awards five points for a net double-eagle and an ace, four for an eagle, three for birdie, two for par, and one for bogey. A player, who is playing for no more point must pick-up or else he will be slapped a two-point deduction for each infringement of the rule.
Two more teams were tied with 74 points each. These are Tony Amor (42) and John Garaña (32) and Hansel Ong (33) and Elpedio Ong (41).
Five teams fired 73 points apiece. These are Felix Villanueva (32) and Pete Cantillas (41), Benedict Uy (38) and Mitchel Dy (35), James Ferraren (40) and Marlon Oclarence (33), Tito Pintor (37) and Sim Guinocor (36), and Bobby Barria (37) and Jovey Mendoza (36).
Shooting rounds of even-par are Lino Dagus (39) and Rio Lao (33), Nonoy Alba (35) and Penelle Piad (370, and Victor Gocela (32) and Rainier Mendoza (40).
The tournament will continue today and tomorrow with half of the field to finish their second round today.
The awards ceremony will be held tomorrow.
Prizes at stake will be for the overall team champion and the top three teams of three handicap categories.
A windfall of prizes will go to the player or players, who will score an ace.

A Skygo motorcycle is at stake as eagle prize on all par-4 holes.
