Dumaguete's top expert rider Irwin Ramas-Uypitching proved that his victory in the past two legs were not just about luck but also matched with sheer determination as he bagged the Twin Kaye Cup, the fourth leg of the MS Motosuit Motocross Series, over the weekend in Balamban, Cebu.
Uypitching, one of the owners of RUSI, took control in the entire battle to claim the top post and in the process pad his lead in the overall standings among the experts riders.
PowerSports Racing's Juvenile Abellar claimed his second place finish in the series after outsmarting the veteran Pepo Rubi of Team Quickflight.
Like Pepo Rubi, his brother Andot also missed the top post in the executives A, settling only second to Aloy Igot, while Norning Commendador came in third.
Commendador, however, ruled executives B with Jabe Planas and Jun Enriquez winding up second and third, respectively.
Ian Reyes, on the other hand, is back in action for PSR and quickly made his presence felt by outsmarting Surigao's Jed Luna to rule novice open enduro. Chai Hong Sy ended third.
SAC-SMC All-Cebu Sports awardee Jon-jon Adlawan, who missed the third leg, came back in glorious fashion as he won his third novice open production crown. Sy was second and Joshua Abellar third.
Two other Abellars, Jubannie and Jubenile also of PSR, posted a 1-2 finish in the intermediate class, with Marl Paul Inoc occupying the third spot.
Luna bounced back by topping the local enduro over Donkey Sanchez and Chad Espina.
Just like Luna, Donkey Sanchez did not go home empty-handed as he dominated the beginners open production against Carlo Pinili and Norman Pautan.
Adz Sanchez claimed two title via the mini and beginners B class.
He beat the more favored John Flores in the mini class as Samantha Abellar claimed the third place trophy, while trailing Sanchez in the beginners B are Catalino Entero and Ian Tingal.
Lanrobert Cabrera completed the cast of winners after coming out the fastest among the battle of Balamban-based riders as Tata Umoli and Jerome Bendibel finished second and third.
