Central Visayas swimmers eye sterling performance in Palaro today

The Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA) squad starts its campaign in the Palarong Pambansa with the swimmers under the Cebu Blue Marlins Club expected to carry most of the load.
The Cebu Blue Marlins take most of the slots after a sterling finish during the CVIRAA meet in Tagbilaran City.
The Blue Marlins swimmers, who grabbed slots to Palaro are Jeffrey Yana, Noel Caneda, Mattheus Ceasar Galo, Michael David Vega, Diane Caneda, Judenia Brand, Jethro Stanly Ko and Eduard Daryll Belleza.
Ko, who comes from Sacred Heart School-Jesuit and Belleza from Talisay City will be competing under the elementary level.
The other bets in swimming include Dumaguete's Zoe Emelia Menguito and Queenie Jane Endres, Anthony Justin Ang, Cebuano Jeffrey Yana, John Solon, Allan Paul Bayona and Alexander Echavez, Heisler Entote and Loren Dales Echavez, among others.
Just like in the CVIRAA meet, were they broke several records, the team is expected to pull another remarkable finish.
Most of the games in the Palaro will be starting today except for dancesport and taekwondo.
Basketball and gymnastics started ahead even before the Palaro formally opened yesterday.
