The event, also presented by MS Motosuit, will be featuring different classes including the expert, executive, mini, pewee and the beginner's category.
Mayor Alex Binghay wanted the event be included in the MS Motosuit Series, but event organizer Lou Ornopia said invitation was too late and it will be unfair for the riders especially those from outside Cebu if they include today's action as the second leg.
Riders are not only up for the cash prizes, but also points needed for the overall standing.
And so, instead, riders will be racing today as their tune-up for the second and third leg of the MS Motosuit Series.
The second and third leg will be held in two simultaneous days on May 13 and 14 in separate venues.
The second leg will dubbed as the Neneth Reluya Cup in Panadtaran, San Fernando and the following day in San Remegio proper with the Mayor Mar Martinez Cup.
