In the first game right after the traditional opening parade, the Fontana Mineral Water defeated AC Sports, 80-68, while Ludo/RDM drubbed Rama-Bullo, 72-51.
Agencia Grande, on the other hand, demolished Rain or Shine, 81-61, even as G & S International whacked Cebu Movers System, 65-51.
The other two games, however, were decided in close fashion, with Leopard eking out 53-53 cliffhanger over BLJ, 53-52, and Ygpit Sportswear squeezing through as 52-49 triumph over Aqua Serv.
Action will resume on Sunday at the Guadalupe Sports Complex, but after that, the GAA cagers will hold games in nearby sitios like Banawa, Englis, Singson and Poblacion.
