Guardo Sports-Rudy Project National Badminton Championships: Tanco, Balagot lead winners

The tandem of Joseph Tanco and Arlyn Balagot went too much for their opponents as they lead the winners in the mix division of the Guardo Sports-Rudy Project National Badminton Championships yesterday.
Tanco and Balagot captured the title in Level C with 15-9, 15-7 triumphed over Jigs Uy and Vivian Uy even as Shaggy Leones and Pauling Hoffer reigned in Level D after eking out a 15-7, 7-15, 15-9 victory against Reino Tesaluna and Diabe Delicana.
In Level E, the championship title went to Renan Edisa and Lorna Lumapat, who closed the game with a 15-6, 15-4 decision over Miller Braza and Vivian Maraya while the 15-13, 15-11 scoring of Anthony Peralta and Malou Peralta won them the first place honors over Norman Roa and Arlene Yu in the mix 21-39 Level C.
On the other hand, Timothy Abay and Joanna Marie Saluria captured the trophy in Level D with a 17-14, 15-5 bashing over Dominic Tulen and Momot Irizari and Level E mix 21-39 first place title was won by Jan Michael Cipres and Francis Croonen, who won 15-10, 15-0 over Levi Manabat and Jo Ann Manabat.
Meanwhile, the men's doubles Level D, final encounter was still played last night with T.J Tanilon and Raul Rama, who sported a clean 4-0 record in the semi finals, meeting against Victor Berol and Sydrick Enad, who entered the finals with 3-1 win-loss record.
On the other hand, the women's doubles Level D final contenders were the tandem of Athena Roa and Aida Velayo (2-0) facing Deedee Villahermosa and Nenita Rodero (1-1).
