Sevilleno of the University of Cebu (UC) was strongly challenged by her archrival Leizsl Lumindas-Getaruelas and Merlita Arias for the women's open title.
The race was set at five kilometers, but Sevilleno said, the route seems shorter that she was caught by surprised when she and Lumindas were told that they are about to reach the finish line.
Merlita Arias also grabbed part of the limelight, winning the third place over the young Joeyry Ann Lee as Madelaine Carter ended fifth.
University of Southern Philippines-Foundation's Mendel Lopez, on the other hand, also was engaged into a neck-to-neck battle down to the finish against Gilbert Luterte of University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) before capturing the men's title.
Riez Enriquez of USPF came out third while Roland Montebon of UC was fourth and Virgio Belecario, Jr. was fifth.
Aside from the open division, there was also a special race for the part of the organizing body with Cris Lapez winning the men's top post over Bong Aquino while distaff side had Rosalie Naturales winning the crown.
Cebu City vice-mayor Michael Rama awarded the winners of this Tabang Sugbo Foundation co-organized event.
