SCSIT, Pau pummel foes in MLSDF-CCSC softball

Powerhouse Salazar College of Science and Institute of Technology (SCSIT) and Pau Liniment proved too strong for their rivals in the MLSDF and CCSC organized 2006 Mayor's Cup Softball Open at the Basak National High School grounds.
SCSIT grabbed an 8-4 victory over the Pusok All Stars, while Pau Liniment blasted the Sibonga batters, 12-5.
SCSIT took control in the first six innings before allowing Pusok to make a run.
Joseph Patalinghug scored a homer and tagged Delfin Ongco with him in the homebase.
Patalinghug's homerun electrified his teammates, with Jerry Amit scoring two runs-batted-in hits that sent Rey Parpan and Henry Ongco home to wrap up SCSIT's triumph.
On the other hand, Pau Liniment gave Sibonga a nest lesson with veteran pitcher Felix Custodio at the helm of its assault.
Meanwhile, the SirLitz Rebels bounced back from a previous loss and vented their ire on Chang King of Lapu-lapu, 5-3, while Carcar Royale won by forfieture over Logan of San Isidro, Carcar.
