The Almendras-Hasegawa duo scored a total of 125 points in the two-man team event using the Molave Points System. Almendras made 62 points while Hasegawa had 63.
The class A title went to the team of Dustin Morada (55) and lawyer Nilo Seno (61) with 116 points.
First runner-up for the premiere handicap class was the father and son lawyer duo of Julius and Jovi Neri with 115 on rounds of 58 and 57 points respectively. Eric Deen and Fred Salonga each carded 56 points for a total of 112 to finish as second runner-up.
The scoring format awards seven points for a double-eagle, six for an ace, five for eagle, four for birdie, three for par, two for bogey, and one for double-bogey.
The class B title went to the tandem of Max Tan (57) and henry Dy (64) with 121 points. Edwin Espina (63) and Chito Villareal (55) finished as first runner-up with 118 points while Arturo Go (57) and Robert Lim (60) were the second runner-up with 117.
David Chan (5() and Rudy Carvajal (620 combined for 121 points to take the class C title. Rudy Abalos, Sr. (59) and Romeo Ignacio (61) scored 120 points and won in the countback to take the first runner-up honors. Second runner-up was the team of Joni Cimafranca (58) and Antonio Tankaw (62) also with 120 points.
The tandem of sister-in-law Joan Castillo (55) and Jeannette Chiu (63) scored 118 points to win the ladies plum.
The runner-up honors for the distaff side went to Eva Hino (55) and Flor Streegan (56) with 111 points.
The tournament was a joint project of Zonta Clubs 1 and 2 and was for the benefit of various projects undertaken by the organization addressing various concerns of the women.-NLQ
