Ruelan Memorial chess kicks off today

The second Marcelo "Loloy" Ruelan Sr. Memorial Chess Tournament unfolds this afternoon at Tisoy's Restaurant in A. S. Fortuna Street, Mandaue City.
The two-day event is open to all chess players.
The tournament will use a seven round Swiss system with each player given 25 minutes per round to play and 10 seconds increment.
The champion will be pocketing P3,000 while the second placer will get P2,000. The third to fifth placers will have P1,000, P500 and P300, respectively.
Registration fee is pegged at P100 only.
Sponsors of the event include Engr. Matias "Bombi" Aznar, Manuel Fernandez, CEPCA, Ellery Bercilles, Tuburan Mayor Rosemarie Suazo, lawyer Boy Tumulak, Julius Belderol, CY Lechon and Gallarde.
