Cebu bowlers join 9th Asian Bowling in Thailand

Cebu's top junior bowlers will try their luck in the international scene again as they join the 9th Asian School Bowling Championships tomorrow until the 13th of this month at the SF Strike Bowl Ngam Wongsewan in Bangkok, Thailand.

Composing the boys team are Clarence Tiu of University of San Carlos, Jomar Jumapao of Sacred Heart School-Jesuit, John Gasataya and James Zuluaga.

The distaff side, on the other hand, will have Sacred Heart School for Girls' Kimberly Lao, Alexis Sy, Nikki Tan and Rocci Damole.

The boys squad will have Sixto Roberto Sengson as their head coach and Lisa Ponce-Enrile will be the mentor for the women's team.

The participants will be competing in for the titles in the singles, doubles, team and master's.

High hopes are up for the Cebuanos after a good showing last year in Jakarta Indonesia.

The boy's squad went away with the silver medal with an added bronze medal from Jumapao in the master's competition.

Kimberly Lao also did a good showing, grabbing a bronze in the master's event for girls.
