Talisay City sweeps Rep. Gullas Cup

Talisay City asserted its dominance in the field as it made a clean sweep of all the championship titles in the Rep. Eduardo Gullas Cup 2006 at the Minglanilla Sports Center.
But Talisay City's road to the throne did not come easy as it faces tough competition from its rivals in the men's volleyball and basketball titles.
Only the women's team was able to pull through easily to bag the crown over Naga, But Talisay City finally laid claim to the crown in the men's volleyball, via a four-set battle over Naga.
Naga won the first set, 25-23, but Talisay took the next three sets, 25-22, 25-21, 25-22.
Its basketball team followed with a sound 89-79 victory over Minglanilla.
The final game saw both squads heating up, until Jake Alferez and Raymund Tabar stepped up their game for Talisay, which toppled Minglanilla's tactics. - with Liv Campo
