Talisay eyes 3 titles today

Talisay City eyes three championship titles today when the Gullas Cup Volleyball and Basketball Tournament enters its final round today at the Minglanilla Sports Central.
In basketball, Talisay will meet Minglanilla.
Talisay and Minglanilla both ended the tournament with identical 4 wins and a loss standing, but, the former enjoys a twice-to-beat advantage after it dumped Minglanilla in their first encounter by 27 points.
Minglanilla, on the other hand, is not about to concede defeat and will trust David Anthony Brigoli, Ryan Plarisan, Ruben Solis, Jr. and UV Baby Lancer John Canada and Quintin Huruela to deliver the goods well in front of their supporters.
Talisay, for its part, is expected to deploy for long in the hardcourt John Lester Sunga, Raymond Tabar and another UV Baby Lancer Michael Brian Bucao as they fight for the championship crown.
Prior to the final game will be the battle for third place between Carcar and San Fernando.
On the other hand, Talisay's men and women's team is also out for a championship date in the volleyball event.
The men's team takes on Naga while their female counterpart faces Carcar.
Just like its basketball squad, Talisay's volleyball team enjoys a twice-to-beat advantage for keeping the driver's seat entering into the final round.
