Tinong's Bakery spills Royal Tru Orange team in Spirit Forty hoopfest

Tinong's Bakery capitalized on its deadly run-and-gun game to blast Royal Tru Orange, 89-81, in come-from-behind fashion in the Spirit Forty Basketball League the other night at the Pardo Sports Complex.

Robin Abellanosa almost single-handedly carry Tinong's Bakery on his shoulders, pouring in 18 of his 25 points in the second half.

Tinong's Bakery regained its momentum halfway in the third quarter courtesy of a 11-2 run.

Abellanosa, who also grabbed seven rebounds, got sufficient support from Roland Dagohoy and Marcial Genson, who combined for 27 points aside from from putting up a strong defensive wall that shackled Royal Tru Orange.

Jun Sabellano and Nonoy Ventura connived for 34 points in a losing cause.

In the other game, the Towers defeated Tribu Guardo, 101-85, behind 25 points, three rebounds, and three assists from Elden Yaun.

Tata Abellana and Kiddie Abellar's combined for 38 points for Tribu Guardo.
