Mic & Matt captures KGBT caging title

Mic & Matt Convenience Store used a suffocating man-to-man defense in the second half to repulse Hodenz, 83-70, to grab the championship title of the K Gallery Basketball Tournament at Visayan Glass Gym over the weekend.

A crucial three-pointer by Ganther Siroy restored the double-digit advantage of Mic & Matt when Hodenz tried desperately to stage a comeback in the last two minutes of the game.

Moking Villiran and Martin Grogaard each scored 24 points for the champion team, which is sponsored by Alonso and Robert Chua.

Earlier, Miller Time garnered third place when Loumar forfeited the game after they failed to arrive on time.

Because of the success of the 1st KGBT hoop, organizer and commissioner Sidney Kiamko is planning to hold a second KGBT conference on April 2 at the same venue.

This time, a bigger and more exciting tournament is in store.
