8th SHS-J Sportsfest ends up with flying colors

Amidst the scorching heat of the sun, the students of Sacred Heart School-Jesuit enjoyed moments of great bonding with their parents as they celebrate their 8th Sports Fest last Sunday at the Cebu City Sports Center.
The students shone the brightest as they showcased their talents in sports and dance, thus, making their parents even prouder.
The one-day affair was highlighted by games in swimming table tennis, athletics, and football. The competition was under division A (third year and fourth year), B (first year and second year), and C (grades five and six).
In athletics division A, IV-Realino went home with the top plum after carting away two golds and two silvers followed by IV-Hurtado, which bagged two gold and one silver and bronze each. The third place went to II-Claver with two golds, and a silver medal.
In division B, II-Joques dominated with three golds, one silver and two bronzes, followed by II-Beyzym with two golds and a bronze. II-Mayer finished third with one gold, two silvers and a bronze.
Grade VI-Claver copped the division C title after hauling in three gold medals complimented with one silver and one bronze, while Grade-V tallied two gold medals for a second place finish and Grade VI-Xavier took home one gold, five silvers and a bronze to wind up third.
Christian Co of II-Oglivie had a scintillating peformance at the pool as he splashed into a three-gold medal finish in butterfly, backstroke and freestyle events in boys division B.
Dave Ong of Grade VI-Xavier stood tall as he swam his way to a pair of golds in boys division C via the backstroke and freestyle events.
