The 3rd Godwin Kiddies Open Chess Tournament comes off wrap 10 a.m. today at the Bibo Chess Club in Jakosalem St.
The one-day tournament follows a five-round Swiss System and is open to all kids aged 14 years old and below.
Entrance fee is pegged at P40.
Some of the brightest and promising young pawn pushers like 2005 Shell National Chess kiddies champion Yves Fiel are among the early favorites, while the Balbonas siblings Felix Shaun Balbona John, Marq and Jessa are expected to give her a run for her money.
The champion of the tournament will receive P700 while the top five will receive P500, P300, P200 and P100.

The tournament sponsors are Felex Balbona, CEPCA president Mandy Baria, Frank Navares, Atty. Rufino Bondal and Hannah Lagria.
