- Sona Mae V. Povadora -
The Freeman simply had an amazing run as it virtually claimed all the gold medals at stake in the track and field and parlor games in the Cebu City Mayor's Cup Trimedialympics held yesterday at the Cebu City Sports Center.

It was a collective effort for The Freeman team, supported by Jollibee Bogo and Carcar, as it claimed all the 15 gold medals, which were up for grabs in the track and field.

They went on to dominate the parlor games, snatching all the three gold medals at stake. The events played were ball relay, egg relay and tug-of-war.

Lady photographer Iste Sesante-Leopoldo made her mark in the women's throwing event as she won the gold medals in the shot put, discus throw and javelin throw while the men's side saw Jigger Panganoron winning in shot put, Franklin Llanos in discus throw and Andy Padigos in javelin throw.

Over at the track, sports section assistant editor Rafael Alas III topped in the 50, 100 and 200-meter sprints.

The distaff side saw sports reporter Caecent No-ot winning the 50m, Emerald Quiapo in the 100m and community editor Divine Sanchez-Ngujo in the 200m.

The Freeman also ruled the 8x50 and 4x100 meter mixed relay and 4x100m men's relay.

The other members of The Freeman team which won medals were Michael Medida and Sesante-Leopoldo (silver-50m), Roel Labrador (bronze-100m), Cerna Jagonal (silver-100m), Janeth Montenegro (silver-200m), William Barneja and Faith Maroto (bronze-shot put).

Charlito Cañar (silver-discus throw), Maroto (bronze-discus throw), Franklin Llanos (silver-javelin throw) and advertising manager Tina Poblador (silver-javelin throw).
