Prima Pasta VI tops Sinulog Open bowl

The youthful Prima Pasta Team VI outshone its older counterparts to grab the team event crown of the 7th Metro Gaisano-SM Sinulog Open the other night at the Gaisano Bowlingplex in Banilad.
Prima Pasta VI, powered by the Tiu brothers Clark and Clarence, Jomar Jumapao, and Junjun Gothong, toppled down 3, 404 pinfalls to claim the P8,000 champion's purse.
Albert Surplus II, composed of Bel Suelto Jr., Leo Tecson, Ed San Jose and Alfred Dela Cerna, wound up second with 3,186 pinfalls. They pocketed P3,000.
Phone and Gadgets' William Lao, Ernest Tan, Warren Tecson and Johnny Dai settled for third place scoring 3,141 pins.
In the all events, Analily Lao of Prima Pasta VIII overtook erstwhile leader Jumapao to seize the championship with 2,592 pinfalls in the combined team, doubles, and singles categories.
Jumapao dropped to sixth spot with 2,479 pinfalls as he could not match his showing in the team and doubles events.
Gothong landed at second place with 927 pinfalls, Tan finished third with 2,568, while Art Areias of General Feeds and Clark Tiu occupied the fourth and fifth sports with 2,543 and 2,543 pinfalls, respectively.
Top ten finishers who qualified for the masters event were Clarence Tiu (2,436), Clifford Tan (2,434), Celi Adolfo of Pacific Barato Ladies (2,403), and San Jose (2,401).
