The AC Sports extended its winning streak to four after it ran over Carpool, 82-72, in the USC-BEDSC PTA basketball tournament played at the USC South Campus covered court.
With only two more assignments left in Group A, the 4-0 AC Sports needs to beat both Cokaliong Shipping and Team Kawsa in order to achieve a rare sweep in the elimination round.
In the other games, the Team Kawsa defeated USC-ADEA, 72-63, while Lola Tikya upsets Pepsi Max, 79-75.
The AC Sports had three players who finished in double figures led by Socio-Cultural, Sports and Outreach Committee chairman and Executive Board PIO Cesar Ortega with 20 points while Eric Seno led the 1-1 Carpool with 18 points.
In the opener, Team Kawsa evened up its win-loss record to 1-1 after it dealt the USC-ADEA its second consecutive setback.
But the biggest victory of the day was scored by Lola Tikya, which pulled in a back-to-back win over the Pepsi teams.
After beating the Pepsi Reg. last Saturday, Lola Tikya scored an upset over defending champion Pepsi Max, led by the Big Three in Paul Maninang, Mario Naron and Rolando Adarna.
