Duremdes powers Realtors past Tigers

Veteran Kenneth Duremdes went on to a scoring frenzy to lead the Sta. Lucia Realty to a 100-76 come-from behind victory over the struggling Coca-Cola Tigers in the 2005 San Mig Coffee Fiesta Conference at the Yñares Center.
Duremdes, who only averaged 8.3 points this season, fired three triples in the fourth quarter alone and finished with 28 points, steering the Realtors to a 7-9 win-loss record as the Tigers dropped to 6-9.
It was actually a sorry loss for the Tigers, who led most of the way in the first three quarters. But they allowed the Realtors to control the game late in the third period and the latter never looked back since then.
Joining Duremdes in the scoring spree were rookie guard Alex Cabagnot and another ageless veteran Dennis Espino who was intentionally hit on the head by Tigers' import Omar Thomas' elbow that caused his ejection at the 2:52 mark of the fourth period with the Realtors leading 91-71.
Thomas was apparently provoked when Espino earlier hit him with a right elbow three times while putting up a solid defense. Thomas fouled Espino but the latter was slaped with a technical foul for that elbow on Thomas.
Thomas had an opportunity to retaliate on Espino during a rebound scuffle but the Tigers' import was not actually going for the basketball but instead he intentionally hit Espino's head using the right elbow.
