AC Sports lead winners in USC-PTA hoop

The AC Sports, led by USC-BEDSC PTA Socio-Cultural, Sports Outreach committee chairman and former SWU Cobra Cesar Ortega, nailed its third straight victory, escaping with a 79-75 decision over the USC Boys High Faculty in the 2nd PTA caging played Wednesday night at the USC Boys high gym along Gen. Maxilom Ave.

In the opener, the Cokaliong Shipping powered by Abe Galinato, defeated the PTA North, 73-65, for its second straight win.

The games will resume Saturday and Sunday to make up for last Sunday's void schedule because Ortega who is also the tournament chairman went to Silay City for the National finals of the Milo-SBP Pasarelle caging.

Ortega who dominated the boards by pulling off monster rebounds, top scored for the 3-0 AC Sports with 19 points as the Boys High Faculty dropped to 0-2.

Meanwhile, Galinato led Cokaliong with 21 points while the PTA North was led by Jun Bantolinao, who amassed a game-high 23 points.

Cokaliong improved to 2-0 while the PTA North has 0-2 for a tie at the bottom with Boys High and Marwil Cel Shop.
