Dignos sets the pace in December RCM Series

Marciano Dignos is back on top again after two legs in the final RECYCLE Road Cyclist of the Month Series this year.

Dignos upped his output to 35 points to temporarily take the lead in Class B.

Neil Duhaylungsod trailed Dignos with 31 points, while Andy Villaver and Haylin Bardaje are a point away from Duhaylungsod.

Bardaje zoomed to third after dominating the second leg at the Mandaue City reclamation area last Saturday.

Bardaje was followed by Dignos, while The Freeman columnist, Dr. Jose Vicente "JV" Araneta, went away with the third place honors.

Spicing up the action over the weekend was the race for Class A riders wherein former and fast-rising pedal-pushers tried to outsmart one another.

In the end, it was Richard Navarro who came out the fastest, outlasting the more experienced Antonio Nebria.

Randy Carbonera was third and Jaybop Pagnanawon fourth.

Dondon Romales, formerly one of Cebu's top cyclists, was also in action and got the surprise of everyone after placing fifth.
