Reli, Lumindas rule PBSP run

Rogelio Reli of the Philippine Army lived up to his lofty billing even as Leizle Lumindas scored anew over Christy Sevilleno in their respective divisions to win the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) Run for the Future yesterday morning.

Reli, a product of the University of Cebu Webmasters, finished the premier 10-kilometer run in 37 minutes and 19.28 seconds as Riez Enriquez of University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) clocked 37:29.58 to capture the runner-up honors.

Completing the top three finishers is Adonis Singson in 38:36.46.

Those who made it to the top 10 are Meljun Luterte of UC (39:29.07), Roland Montebon of UC (39:47.27), Elviro Patindol (40:01.14), Rodulfo Aguspina (41:38.82), Charlie Barberio (42:11.39), Nino Jay Florencio (44:19.43) and Felix Lopez (46:09.82).

In the distaff side, it was aerobics instructor Lumindas, who claimed the throne over Sevilleno.

Lumindas submitted a time of 45:11.70 while Sevilleno breasted the tape in 46:40.68.

Wounding up third was Camila Luterte in 51:27.52.

The other finishers who made it to the top eight are Marangga Claire (56:32.48), Antonnieta Malazarte (58:32.48), Evangeline Balazuela (1:03:02.64), Ma. Christina Lamparas (1:05:42:.64) and Marina Lipardo (1:05:59.59).

The winners in the 5K men's division was led by Mendel Lopez of USPF, Gilbert Luterte of University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) and Eugene Delposo of USPF while Joeyrey Ann Lee, Gina Adan and Merlita Arias topped in the women's side.

The 3K kiddies run was dominated by Noel Revilla, June Steven Chavez and Aylo Balungcas in the boys division and Marissa Beboso, Robelyn Dunggon and Angelina Barcoma were the top runners in the girls division.
