Adlawan takes final shot in FIM series
November 13, 2005 | 12:00am
Cebuano Jon-Jon Adlawan will go for the jugular today as he goes for his last and final shot to take the overall ranking in the junior level of the FIM 2005 Motocross Series in Asia when the final leg unravels today in Manado, Indonesia
Adlawan, a second-year high school student of Sacred Heart School-Jesuit, is lagging behind a rider from host Indonesia.
The Indonesian rider's advantage is not so big that Adlawan needs to summon all his wits to overtake the leader.
Adlawan, groomed by the Cebu-based PowerSports Racing and sponsored by OzRacing, is competing the last leg along with three other Pinoy riders.
Along with Adlawan is the country's top pro rider Glenn Aguilar, who is hoping to bounce back from a bad finish in the last leg prior in the 125 cc action.
Kenneth San Adres and Jeric Mitra complete the RP cast.
San Andres is said to be competing with Adlawan in the 85cc while Mitra will be racing under the 65cc class.
