DBC pockets Milo Passarelle crown

Don Bosco College (DBC) dumped University of San Carlos-North, 54-41, to capture its second consecutive championship victory in the Passerelle division of the Milo Basketball Efficiency Scientific Training tournament the other night at Capitol Parish gym.

Most Valuable Player awardee John Joseph Parilla waxed hot for DBC as he led his team towards victory, drilling in 13 markers.

DBC fought closely with USC in the first half, leading by five points, 25-20, but eventually broke away in the third canto and never looked back.

Brian Negapatan, on the other hand, top scored for USC with 12 markers.

DBC will advance to the regional leg in October 29 at the Negros Occidental Gym, facing off against St. John of Bacolod City.

Bagging the Team Sportsmanship award, University of Cebu whipped Sacred Heart School-Jesuit, 60-50, to bag third place.

In the Small Basketeers of the Philippines, USC-South nailed its tenth championship title at the expense of USC-North, 50-27.

Bradley Bacaltos, who made 10 markers, was named MVP.

DBC, on the other hand, settled for third after routing USC-North B, 46-24.
