Toledo rules Cluster III in Gov. Gwen v'ball tilt

Toledo walloped Badian in straight sets to snatch the cluster III title of the 1st Governor Gwen Garcia Volleyball Unity Cup last Sunday in Alcantara.
Composed mostly of varsity teams, Toledo is touted as one of the toughest teams in the tournament and it lived up to its lofty billing by crushing Badian, 25-11, 25-21.
Toledo cruised to the finals with an unbeaten record, dispatching Moalboal in the semifinals, 25-12, 25-21. Badian clinched the other finals berth by eliminating Balamban, 22-25, 25-12, 25-11.
Toledo pocketed P20,000, while Badian got P10,000. They also advanced into the provincial meet, which dangles a whopping P100,000 for the champion.
