John XXIII Seminary, Paref-Springdale rout foes in Aboitiz Cup

Blessed John XXIII Seminary mangled host San Roque Football Club, 6-0, while Paref Springdale thrashed Don Bosco Youth Center, 7-1, in the boys 15-under division of the 9th Aboitiz Football Cup at San Roque field in Brgy. Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
Dexterius Encabo initiated BJS' assault by firing in goals at the 29th and 32nd, while Arnulito Camrillo found the back of the net at the 37th to close the half with a 3-0 lead.
BJS went on with the carnage with Sam Marcellana banging in a goal with just a minute gone by in the second half, while Billy Loroa and Cesario Fat scored at the 63rd and 85th to complete the rout.
With the win, BJS firmed up its hold of the Group A lead with a clean 2-0 slate, while SRF absorbed is second defeat.
In the other game, Bryan Liu put up a spectacular show by knocking in four goals to power Springdale to victory. He bombarded his goals at the 31st, 42nd, 54th, and 80th minute.
It was Carlos Miguel Veloso though who broke the ice of the match at the 18th. He chipped in his second goal at the 66th.
Myles Edward Chu and Bernard Buot tossed in their contributions at the 30th and 81st, respectively.
Also, Cebu International School coasted to a 5-2 win over the Football Inter Cebu.
CIS was ahead, 2-0, in the first half with goals from Harry Kwak at the 18th and Emilio Sarmiento at the 28th.
But FC equalized the match with goals at the 55th and 62nd minute courtesy of Ryan Bordalba.
It proved to be its last stand as CIS' Paolo Cases struck at the 77th minute, while Peter Shin wrapped up the game with goals at the 85th and 87th.
Colegio de la Inmaculada-Concepcion Mandaue blasted University of Southern Philippines Foundation, 3-0.
Jomar Salvaleon finished with two goals at the 27th and 54th, while Jon Ervin Ceniza contributed one goal at the 18th.
