Kartabz, Ferraren win in PPSA caging

Kartabz extended its winning run to top the leader board with unblemished record after blasting off Jonfer, 96-82, in the 40-above category in the Punta Princesa Sports Association basketball tournament at Vicente Sotto Memorial gym.
Kartabz sparked a rally behind Serge Cortez and Lito Posadas to post a huge 21 points lead, 57-36, at the turn.
Jonfer tried to mount a comeback in the final stretch with the combined offensive attacks by Bert Migraso, Diony Abellar and Erik Gaviola but it was not enough to topple the more aggressive Kartabz.
Cortes and Posadas chalked up 16 markers apiece, while Toto Lawas and Rey Lopez also drew impressive performance adding 14 and 11 points, respectively.
In the other game, KN Ferraren coasted a 115-92 rout over Fravu.
Jun Dela Torre scattered a game-high 41 points to lead Ferraren, while Mon Ceballes and Andy Fuentes joined the fray with a combined 57 points for a 3-3 win loss record.
Eking Pacaña, on the other hand, topscored to lead Fravu with 20 points.
