San Fernando rules Inter-town caging

Team San Fernando demolished nearby town Carcar, 70-59, to win the championship of the 2nd Mayor's Cup Inter-Town basketball tournament last Sunday in the municipality of Dumanjug.
In the battle for third, Samboan frustrated Boljoon.
The San Fernando cagers, who topped the elimination with a clean 4-0 slate, were led by scoring machine Allain de los Santos, who finished with 30 points. They advanced into the finals by beating Samboan in the crossover semifinals, 71-57.
Carcar had two players scoring in double figures led by Christian Rez with 19 points. Marjun Apura chipped in 11 points.
Also posting a 4-0 win-loss record after the eliminations, Carcar made it into the finals by knocking out Boljoon, 91-64.
Defending champion Barili was booted out in the qualifying round. The rest of the participating towns include Alcantara, Alcoy, Argao, Moalboal, and Ronda.
Meanwhile, in the Dumanjug inter-barangay finals, Bitoon Uno defeated Looc, 66-51, to bag the crown.
Glemmar Zapanta led barangay Bitoon Uno with 27 points, even as Jun Rey Manguilimutan and Von Monteza donated 20 and 12 points, respectively.
Barangay Looc was led by Jake Florida with 24 points.
