Kids Football Center stuns Springdale

Kids Football Center-Pomeroy grabbed the limelight as they bagged the players 6 division over favorite Paref Springdale, 4-3, in the 9th Aboitiz Youth Festival at the University of San Carlos Technology Center field.
Kids Football Center (KFC), bankrolled by Karl Veloso, is a squad who practices literally under the urn of the Cebu City Sports Center.
KFC held virtual clinic with Pabol B 9-0 in the elimination before topping their group and surpassing Pabol A in the semis.
In the final, the diminutive and MVP Kurt Cuizon was all business as he led his team by sneaking in all four goals.
Gabgab Villacin converted for Springdale in the fifth but ten seconds after, Cuizon got past the defense to tie the count before scoring the next goals.
The team also was second in the San Roque Football Festival.
However, Springdale bounced back from its loss, defeating Hiroshi FF in the 12-under division, 2-0.
MVP awardee Karl Arcenas scored once in each half for their win.
In the Boys 17 final, Cebu International School's Michael Sharpe struck their lone goal for their hard earned 1-0 win over Don Bosco College.
Sharpe, who played for Cebu in the Adidas Under 19 deflected Paulo Cases' corner in the 6th while keeper Red Miguel and Andre Antigua were a huge factor for CIS' victory.
On the other hand, keeper Jestoni Pelagoof Don Bosco Technology Center did it all for their 2-1 shoot out win over Springdale in the boys 14-under with Junjun Pintuan claiming the MVP.
