Webmasters eye repeat over Warriors in CESAFI

Second placer University of Cebu Webmasters will try to extend their dominance over the fired-up University of San Carlos Warriors in the basketball event of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) at the USC gym.
Games today: (USC gym)
2 p.m. CIT vs. UC (Women's)
3:30 p.m. USC vs. UC (Juniors)
5 p.m. USC vs. UC (Seniors)
In the other game, the Junior Webmasters are also eyeing a repeat over the USC Baby Warriors while the UC Lady Webmasters go up against the winless CIT Lady Wildcats in the women's division.
The Webmasters of coach Roel Gomez defeated the Warriors, 82-73, in their first meeting while the juniors survived a scare before pulling a 68-66 win over the Baby Warriors.
With their 4-1 win-loss record, the Webmasters hope to maintain the second place until the end of the second round.
The 3-3 Warriors, who lost to the mighty Lancers last Thursday in Minglanilla, 64-71, are showing good in their first semifinals bid.
The 3-0 Lady Webmasters are also bidding for a repeat against the CIT Lady Wildcats whom they defeated in the first round, 84-73, while the 0-4 CIT Lady Wildcats hope to end their agony and will rely on leading scorer Chona Tabernero, Airene Lyle Chua, Kryzha Mae Faune, Sunshine Panuncia, Shela Pepito and Ever Joy Trazona.
