High School rules UC athletics intrams

The University of Cebu High School (HS) department edged the South Campus to rule the track and field events in the 2005 UC Intramural Games held at the Cebu City Sports Center Thursday.
The HS department, coached by Eldie Banzon, amassed a total of 10 gold medals to rule the athletics event, nipping the South Campus, which ran away with nine gold medals.
The green-clad HS squad also clinched five silvers and five bronze medals while the South Campus, sporting the maroon jersey, claimed 11 silvers and 12 bronze medals.
The Criminology team was third with 5-8-2 gold-silver-bronze tab, the Maritime Education and Training Center (METC) was fourth with 4-5-9 and Computer Science for fifth with 4-0-3.
Tied at seventh place with one gold each were Computer Engineering and Nursing as Banilad Campus placed ninth with one silver and two bronze medals.
The gold medal winners for the High School department were Sarah Dabueta (200m), Roxanne Parantar (400m, 100and 400m hurdles), Roxanne Camay (shot put and discus throw), Josephine Dugenio (long jump and triple jump) and the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay teams for the girls division.
