USC 'Old' Warriors to relive Glorious moments
September 7, 2005 | 12:00am
The so-called University of San Carlos (USC) 'Old' Warriors are invited to a simple get-together on September 11 at the Tisoy's Restaurant in Banilad, Mandaue City.
This gathering is a despedida party of sort for three balikbayans, who are bound to return to the United Sates and to London anytime this month. They are Peping Rodago, Vicente Colina and Nilo Velasquez.
Rogado and Colina are based in the United States, while Velasquez is now residing in London.
Also invited are Julian Macoy, Bobby Barria and Atty. Danilo Deen, the team captain of the 1955-1956 USC champion team in the Cebu Amateur Athletic Association (now the CESAFI).
The other members of the old Warriors who happened to be in Cebu on this date are welcome to join the affair.
Tisoy's Restaurant is owned by former Warrior himself, the legendary Ramon "El Presidente" Fernandez, who takes pride for winning four MVP awards during his heydays in the PBA.
The event is organized by Atty. Baldomero C. Estenzo, also a former Warrior.
