Kartabz, J&B start hot in PPSA hoop

Kartabz and J&B blasted their respective opponents to jumpstart their campaign in the opening of the second season of Punta Princesa Sports Association at the Vicente Sotto Memorial gym in Punta Princesa.

Kartabz hacked out an 88-74 victory over Cebu squad in the 40-above category while J & B preyed on Cablex, 81-67, in the 30-above division.

Playmaker Toto Lawas provided the leadership by scoring 23 points for Kartabz while Rey Lopez and Sencio Ibo chipped in 16 and 14 markers, respectively.

Yok Alesna and Alvin Bojie top scored for the losing team with 16 and 15 points.

On the other hand, former inter-commercial player Michael Dumdum put up a superb performance by finishing a rare, scoring 39 points and dishing out 12 rebounds including four assists to lift J&B to its first win.

The Arellano's, Keith and Art backed Dumdum with a combined 21 points.

Jun Polancos tallied 16 points for Cablex while Jayford Culipano and Aga Sumalinog had 14 and 13 points.
