Lagman, a grade five pupil of St. Benedict Childhood Education Center, whipped Juan Paolo Cansino of host Davao City in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3, to bag the 12-under crown.
Lagman, presently RP's No.1 12-under player, later picked up his second crown of the day, but not without passing through a major scare.
This as the 10-year-old Lagman had to fend off a spirited resistance by the hard-fighting Cotabato City's Rogelio Estanio, 6-1, 7-6 (7-3) in the finals before walking away with the unisex 10-under plum.
Francis Largo of Team Cebu City-Lawn Tennis, on the other hand, floundered in his quest to wrest the 16-under championship after falling prey to RP No.5 Elsanto Santos of General Santos City in the finals, 4-7, 4-6.
Largo of the University of the Visayas though copped the 18-under without breaking a sweat as Santos declined to challenge the Cebuano netter due to exhaustion.
This as Santos has already figured in a total of three games yesterday, including a win over Cebuano Kennex Abadia of Naga National High School, 6-1, 6-1 in the 18-under semifinals.
Inspite of a victory by default, the Naga, Cebu-native Largo still has a reason to celebrate as he barged into the final round in style, booting out tournament top-seed Mark Alcoseba of Davao City, 7-4, 6-1 in the semifinals.
