The LCP All Stars leaned on a hot start to control the game and never looked back as they dominated all departments of the ballgame. So dominating were the All Stars that five players scored in double digits and all 12 players contributed to the scoring. Team JT's chances were also ruined when they missed the services of their two leading scorers in Jun Seno and Undong Garcia.
Team manager Lander Perez led the attack with 19 points as Boy Alfeche stepped up with 14. Sherwin Biagtan and Edmund Odulio led Team JT with 16 and 14 points, respectively.
In the other game, Insuladd revitalized its chances for a slot in the finals by scoring an upset over Drypers, 75-68. After losing its first two games of the tournament, the Insulators bounced back to life behind the blazing guns of Ramon Fontanosa who had 26 points. Jojo Nardo led Drypers with 14.
The team standings have LCP Garments on top with a 3-0 slate, followed by a three-way tie among Drypers, Team JT and Insuladd who all have 1-2 records. While LCP may have a slight edge for the first slot in the finals, the battle will now be fierce for second place.
