TCC dancers bag 2 bronzes in S'pore

Team Cebu City-Dancesport made sure they will never go home empty-handed by salvaging two bronzes in the 2005 Asia Pacific DanceSport Championship the other night at the Raffles City Convention Centre in Singapore.
Virgianie Oyao, whose potential was first noticed in the now-defunct Batang Pinoy, won her first international medal with partner Jumil Bacalso.
Oyao and Bacalso bagged the bronze medal in the Asian latin junior category behind China and host Singapore. They also settled for fourth place honors in the standard division.
The other TCC-Danceport athletes also barged into the final round in their respective events.
Kevin Miñoza and Rodah Mae Fernandez landed fourth and Inoue Roi Rendon and Christy Kim Velez sixth in the Asian junior latin.
In the seniors level, Lowel Bernados and Jeanen Bergado ended their quest with a bronze medal finish through the standard Grade D event. The gold was won by China, while Thailand picked up the silver.
Real life couple Jojie and Jonah del Rosario also gained fouth place in the Grade D standard category.
