Go grabs seat in masters of Taiwan bowling

Cebuana bowling prodigy Sheena Go is carving a name internationally as the University of San Carlos BS Pharmacy graduate clinched a slot in the masters event in the ladies open of the ongoing 7th Chinese Taipei International Open at Tainan Bowling Centre in Taiwan.

Go, a member of the RP pool settled for fourth place in the overseas pool after knocking down 823 pins to trail Singaporeans Catherine Kang (865), Ong She Na (847) and Camilia Chua (839).

Also carrying the country's flag is Elaine Florencio, who finished sixth spot by rolling down 816 pins.

The ladies masters open first block is still being played as off press time.

On the other hand, the men's pinbusters led by Chester King boosts the chance for the Filipinos after taking the top position with 919 pins in the men's open masters qualifying overseas pool.

Tryon Ongpauco followed King with 895 pinfalls while CJ Suarez had 894 pins to land third place and earned a berth in the men's open masters division. - Sona Mae V. Povadora
