A lean but mean Team Cebu City-dancesport vies for the top honors in the Dancesport Council of the Philippines National Mid-Year Ranking and Competition at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City today.
The token delegation is composed of 20 couples as Team Cebu City is focusing its preparation in the dancesport competition in the 23rd Southeast Asian Games, which Cebu City is hosting.
"We will just be sending this number of athletes out of courtesy to the national competition. But these athletes are the best performers who have consistently gained medals for the team. They are also the most active volunteer teachers of DTCC", said Cebu City Sports Commission's dancesport director Edward Hayco.
SEAG bet Michael Mendoza, however, begged off from joining the Cebu team, leaving most of the load to another Cebuano SEAG entries Dearlie Gerodias and Jenevive Camacho and Richard Obong.
The other entries from Cebu include CCSC dancesport co-director Eleanor Hayco, Victoria Alix, Jonah and Jojie del Rosario, Jerswin and Ann Poloyapoy, Jeanen Bergado, Renante Saldua, Crisaldo "Loloi" Rendon, Lowell Bernados, Israel Ronan, Jennifer Amahan, Ariadne Velasquez, Jimmy Noel, Rannel Espinosa, Claire Lagaras, Dandan Almario, Zonita Balbuena, Bernie Tumarong, Ann Dimaano, Buddy Dabasol, Jared Geson, Jenjen Pogoy, Jane Takahashi, Rollin Ponce, Desiree Seraga and Eo Lowen Rendon.
The team's participation is being supported by Air Philippines, Sulpicio Lines, French Baker and Datuk and Datin Vincent Pang of Malaysia.
