Aboitiz Cup meeting today

The Cebu Football Association and football coaches will meet 6 p.m. today at the Baseline Sports and Recreation Center to map out plans for the staging of the 9th Aboitiz Cup.

The tournament, which is slated tentatively to start either on August 27 or 28 will feature Under 6, 8, 10, 12, boys 14, 17, girls 17, men's open, women's open, and 35-and-above.

For the first time, the Aboitiz Cup will also include men's futsal which will also serve as a qualifying tournament to the National Futsal Championship in Laguna later or early next year.

The venues eyed for the holding of the tournament are the Sacred Heart School Jesuit, University of San Carlos Technology Center and San Roque Football field in Mandaue.
