Cebuano pro motocross rider Popeye Rubi did not go home empty handed after claiming the third and fourth place honors in the 2005 Saipan International Motocross Championship over the weekend.
Rubi failed to defend his crown even as fellow pro Filipino rider Jovie Saulog claimed the 250 cc class. The second placer was New Zealand's James Robinson.
In the 125 cc class, it was Robinsons, who claimed the top post with Saulog taking the second place honors and Cookie Alvarez from Saipan completed the top three finishers.
