The U-8 squad, coached by Wily Caballero, sported a 2-1 win-draw record while the U-10 group under Mario Ceniza had a win and two draw record.
The U-8 team faces off against Dragon FC of San Carlos City while U-10 entangles with OMC of La Carlota City in the championship today.
The U-8 pulled off a good start, bashing San Carlos City's Kids United, 5-0, in their opening match with Lorenzo Ceniza in the frontline logging a hat trick at the 5th, 14th and 18th minutes while Sabin Veloso chipped in at the 9th and 16th minutes.
U-8 which is also composed of Aldrich Pelenio, John Fernandez, Liam Hines, James Balao and Ace Alcover figured in a tight match against Dragon FC to force for a 1-all draw.
However, in their second meeting with Dragon FC, the U-8 booters already had it as they scored a 2-0 rout courtesy of Pelenio at the 5th and 12th minute for a solid finish.
The U-10 squad, the 2005 Thirsty Football Cup champion, on the other hand, cruised past Sudecor, 4-1, in their opening campaign.
The U-10 suffered the same fate with U-8 under the hands of Dragon FC when they fought for a draw behind a goal from Gio Gandiongco. But it was in the final match that figured a tight game to end it to a 3-all draw against OMC-FC.
