Milo Olympics to open September 2 at CCSC

The 10th Milo Little Olympics-Visayas will formally kick off on September 2 at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC), The Freeman learned yesterday.
The battle for the gold medals in the multi-event conclave will be on September 3-4 and 10-11.
There will be 13 events to be contested namely athletics, badminton, chess, football, gymnastics, lawn tennis, scrabble, sipa, sepak takraw, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo and volleyball.
Majority of the events will be done at the CCSC while lawn tennis will be at the Don Vicente Sotto tennis club and Lahug Racquet Club.
Sipa and sepak takraw will be at the Cebu City National Science High School.
Taekwondo will be held either at the Guadalupe gym or at the Cebu Coliseum while some of the volleyball events will be played at Abellana National School grounds and City Central School.
Only three events will be competed for two days namely gymnastics, swimming and taekwondo. The rest will run for four days.
There will also be a selection for the Miss Little Olympics and a photo contest for the photojournalists.
The organizers are inviting schools not only from the Central Visayas region but also from Western and Eastern Visayas. An organizational meeting with the sports coordinator and tournament managers is set on July 15 at the CCSC.
